Production 63 Launches New Podcast Series
By admin on Sep 17, 2009 in Podcasts
Ennis based Production 63 has announced plans to launch a new series of podcasts on September 21st. The company has produced three already – one of these was the 10 minute video remembering the visit to Ennis by Muhammad Ali which generated thousands of hits and considerable interest in the endeavours of the company. “It’s a natural progression for the company” says former broadcaster and Director of the company, Ger Sweeney “as we try to harness our capabilities, the available technology and adapt to people’s changing listening and viewing habits”.
In the past few weeks the Production 63 team has been researching the top 30’s of various lists in a number of music categories. The most recent podcast was published on Fri September 11th and the next one will launch a series of podcasts on Mon 21st September when they start the countdown of their Top 30 of Top 30’s. The idea is that Ger Sweeney who hosts the programmes will present their Top 30 in seven categories. These are Irish Artists & Groups (all genres), American Country Artists, Love Songs, Irish Country Artists, All time favourite songs, Showbands and Children’s Favourites.
Ger says “we would love to hear from people with their favourites in each of the categories. Everyone has a favourite and we’d be delighted to include it and hopefully it will make the Top 30 in that category. You can make suggestions in as many categories as you like. When we have them processed we’ll present them on our podcasts that will be published three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays….and they’re there for keeps so no need to worry about what time you log on.
There is a link on our website www.production63.com to the podcasts or they can be accessed directly through iTunes – just search for Production 63. You do not need an iPod or iPhone to enjoy these podcasts – simply download iTunes to your computer and when you’re in the iTunes store just click on podcasts. When you find us just hit subscribe (there is no charge for this) and you won’t miss any of them”.
Not only does the Ennis-based company want you to enjoy these podcasts but they’d like you to spread the word to your family and friends across the country and across the world and encourage them to let them know what their favourite songs are. They’ll even send greetings to them during the programme if they get requests to do so.
Ger concludes “it’s a bit of fun as the whole online experience is now becoming more mobile and versatile we are delighted to be in a position to offer a bit of fun during dark times. We’re looking forward to producing these programmes and look forward to hearing from our friends in the future. Vote for your favourite now at info[at]production63.com”
